11. Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content

11.1 AI Chatbot Responses

  • AI Chatbot responses are generated on-the-fly based on user queries and do not directly reproduce copyrighted material
  • We do not claim copyright ownership of AI-generated responses
  • Users are free to use AI-generated responses for any lawful purpose
  • If an AI Chatbot response inadvertently reproduces copyrighted material, users should report it immediately to support@scoreboardnow.com

11.2 AI Scoreboard Capture Data

  • Extracted scores and game data are factual information, which are not subject to copyright protection
  • Factual data (who played, what the score was) cannot be copyrighted under U.S. law
  • Users own the extracted data they generate through AI Scoreboard Capture
  • We do not claim copyright over extracted game data

11.3 User-Submitted Photos for AI Processing

  • Users retain ownership of photos they submit
  • By submitting a photo, users grant us a limited license to process it through our AI system
  • Photos are processed and then deleted unless the user opts into AI training
  • If a photo contains copyrighted content (e.g., a branded scoreboard), responsibility for copyright compliance rests with the user

11.4 Inadvertent AI Reproduction of Copyrighted Material

  • We encourage the copyright holder to report the issue to support@scoreboardnow.com
  • Include the specific AI response and explain the copyright concern
  • We will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include modifying our AI systems to prevent recurrence
  • Such reports will not be treated as formal DMCA notices unless they contain all required DMCA notice elements (see Section 3)

11.5 AI Training and User Content

  • We do not use copyrighted user content to train our AI models without explicit consent
  • Users can opt out of AI training through Settings > Privacy > AI Training
  • Users who opt out will not have their interactions or content used for AI model improvement
  • Any use of third-party copyrighted content in AI training complies with applicable fair use and licensing agreements

11.6 Responsibility for User-Generated Photos

  • Users must ensure their photos do not infringe on third-party copyrights or intellectual property
